Proposed Trash and Junk Ordinances

Based on overwhelming public input during the development of San Juan County's Growth Management Plan in 2007 and at 16 public meetings held throughout the County in Fall 2009 to discuss land use issues, the County Commission is moving forward to address the most pressing concerns of San Juan County residents. At its regular meeting of July 6, 2010, the San Juan County Commission introduced a series of proposed ordinances intended to manage junk and trash in San Juan County.

The County Commission will hold a public hearing on the ordinances on August 3, 2010, at 4:00 pm in the Commission Chambers located in the County Administration Building, 100 S. Oliver Drive in Aztec, New Mexico.

The ordinances are available for review by clicking on the links below. You may submit comments to the County Commission until August 14, 2010 on the comment form
